Welcome to Ms. Bucedi's Teacher Page

Hello families,

I am truly missing the opportunity to work closely with your children every day.  I will be in contact through a variety of ways to keep you updated and to support your child's education while at home.

Distance learning is especially important while we remain sheltered in place.  As parents, you are your child's first and lifelong teacher.  I encourage you to create a schedule so that your children are learning and working independently.  This is also a great time to bring out board games, puzzles, and build memories with your family.  Try working on life skills such as cleaning, laundry, and cooking.  Any of this can be created into a writing or math problems.  Use your imagination and be creative.   I hope to soon hold a live class meeting via zoom!  Please be sure your children log onto google classroom where assignments will be posted and to check their student email where messages will be sent.

Please take a look at the information listed below for guidance on accessing assignments.

Google Classroom
I use Google Classroom to manage some assignments.  Students can access their google account from their home computer and you can see what they are doing as well as provide support on these assignments. Invites have also been sent to parents, please join the classroom and see your students progress.

Other Tools I Use
Class Dojo: I use Class Dojo for positive reinforcement and another way to communicate with parents.  I send invitations out in the beginning of the year for families to join.  You can track the positive points your student receive and see posted pictures of the exciting things we do in class.  Families can comment on these postings and also message me directly.

Read & Write for Google Chrome:  We use this extension within Google to provide access to information that is difficult to read.  Students can also access this at home through their google student account.  It is located in the upper right corner shaped like a purple puzzle.

Learning Ally:  This is an app accessible to each student through their google chrome account.  Here they can choose books, save them in a library and listen to the audio version while looking at the print.

Moby Max:  Each student has an account.  There are a variety of activities available addressing English Language Arts and Social Studies.  Students are first given a placement assessment for each subject and then guided through lessons and activities.  Parents can check out their progress.

Reflex Math:  Each student has an account.  These are specific activities focused on mathematics.  Students are first given a placement assessment and then guided through lessons and activities. Parents can check their progress.

RAZ Kids:  This is leveled individually and is a direct connection with the current reading program in use.
