Schedule for the last few days of School

Hi Team 30,
Here is our schedule for the last few days of school:
Thursday, May 28 - Class Zoom Meeting @ 10:00
Friday, May 29 - Buddy Zoom Party @ 9:30
Monday, June 1 - Class Zoom End of the Year Party @ 10:00
Thursday, June 4 - Pick up belongings in the loop 12:00 - 3:00
 
Also, I wanted to let you know, I've finished reading Holes, so all the chapters are posted. I hope you enjoy the ending of our book. I really enjoyed reading it to you and reading your comments about the book.
 
One more thing, when you come to School on June 4th to pick up your belongings, please return your Corvallis Library book if you have it at home. If it is in your desk, I'll return it for you. Also bring your Reading Group books which are in your Reading Group Folder. You may keep your Reading Group Folder, but I need the books returned to school. Thank you Team 30.

During the week of May 18-22 I will be posting fewer new assignments in our Google classroom. I'd like students to finish their Animal Report Slide Shows and to catch up on the Ecosystems - Science lessons. We will be finishing the Ecosystems unit this week. Students will be sharing their Animal Report Slide Shows during our Class Meeting on Monday & during Reading Groups on Tuesday & Thursday.

Zoom Meeting Schedule week of May 4-8

Here is our zoom meeting schedule for next week: May 4-8

 

Monday: 10:45-11:15 – Whole class meeting. Students be prepared to share your fact about the animal you read about last week.

Tuesday: 10:00- 11:40 – Reading Groups. I’ll send your time along with the link next week, but your time is the same as last week.

Wednesday: 9:00 - Corvallis School Assembly       1:00-1:30 “office hours” This time is for any parents or students who have questions.

Thursday: 10:00- 11:40 – Reading Groups

Friday: 9:30-10:00 – Buddy Class Meeting with Mrs. Noga’s 4th grade class

 

As usual, I’ll send the zoom links out the day before & also put them in the Google Classroom.

Hello Team 30

As we move into our 5th week of distance learning, I wanted to share a few things with you. First, I am reading a chapter book and posting the videos in our Google Classroom. Beginning tomorrow, you can listen to a chapter each day. The videos are from 5-10 minutes long. I hope you enjoy the book I choose. Go to our Google Classroom to find out which book I selected. :)
Next, I hope you noticed the new format in the Google Classroom. I wanted things to be more organized, so when students click on the "classwork" tab they will see headings for assignments. All work from before Spring Break is at the bottom of the page. The Math & Reading assignments are in their own heading. All work continues to be due at the end of each week, on Friday.
I'll see you at our Corvallis Assembly tomorrow morning, Wednesday, April 22nd; and I'll see you in our Wednesday zoom meeting. See you soon!

Greetings Team 30 Families

I hope you are all healthy and finding creative ways to work and play during the Shelter in Place. I have been taking many walks around my neighborhood and enjoy the signs of Spring: flowers blooming, birds singing, and trees with new leaves. Hopeful signs of better things to come.
 
We are beginning our 3rd week of distance learning. At this point students should be on target to finish their packet by Friday. When the packet is completed, please hang onto it as I am not collecting finished work at this time.
Beginning the week of April 6th, I will begin doing online lessons via zoom and Google classroom. More information will be provided later in the week.
 
In the meantime I'd like to share a great resource for online books: The Alameda County Library. Please visit www.aclibrary.org
If you already have an Alameda County Library card you can login and click on Tumble Book Library. There is a good selection of books for students. They can choose the "read to me" feature or read on their own. If you do not have an Alameda County Library card, you can create an account online. This is a free service.
