Hello Room 16 Students and Families!

I hope you all had a nice weekend and a happy Mother's Day!  Welcome back and happy Monday!

Two videos today.  We continue with our pattern lessons as we identify and make increasingly difficult patterns.  We have one more pattern lesson after today's lesson.  Our story today is the last Mr. Panda story, "Thank You, Mr. Panda" by Steve Antony.  Make sure you watch to the end of the story for the writing prompt.

Over the last couple of days  I have been spotlighting websites that I introduced at the beginning of distance learning.  Today's site is PBS Kids.  Look for the link on the class webpage and in our Google Classroom.  In class, the students enjoyed watching Clifford the Big Red Dog on rainy days.  I noticed that PBS Kids has a Clifford show, though slightly different from the one we watched in class.

The school district has launched a parent tech support email.  I will post the link on this page, in the google classroom, and within this blog.  Hopefully this will help with the tech problems I have not been able to diagnosis and fix.

Thank You to all the parents who continue to share their child's work with me, I really appreciate it!  I always like to see what the students are completing.

Today's Goals

1. watch the pattern video and make your own pattern
2. watch the story video and complete the writing prompt
3. watch a show on PBS Kids, maybe you can tell me your favorite show and why
4. spend some time with the Raz-Kids reading program
5. spend some time with the Happy Numbers Math program
6. complete an exercise from the Go Noodle website

Wishing you all a nice day!
