Hello Room 16 Students and Families!

 

We start today with two important news announcements.  Please check your email during the day as you will receive two important emails.

 

1. One email will include your child's SLZUSD personal email address and password.  This email address is important, and I highly recommend saving it for future use.  You will need to input this email address to enter our Friday ZOOM meeting.  A box will pop up after you enter the ZOOM meeting ID, prompting you to enter your SLZUSD email.  I am learning this new way of conducting a ZOOM meeting with you, so please be patient as I troubleshoot through any problems.  I am hoping this new way of entering a meeting will work.  On my Thursday post, I will review these directions and will pass on anymore tips I discover.

 

2. The second email will be your invitation to join the Rat-Kids reading program.  I highly encourage you to give it a try.  I completed a few of the books and found them beneficial.  Please tell me what you think.

 

Two video posts today.  A story that I think the students will really enjoy.  I included a writing prompt at the end.  I encourage writing as many sentences as you can think of.  We also have the second subtraction lesson for students to watch. 

 

 

1. watch and listen to the story

2. complete the writing prompt, challenging yourself to write as many sentences as you can.  TK students can tell their sentences to an adult to write.

3. listen and watch the subtraction lesson

4. complete the last two subtraction pages in the Math Homework Workbook

5. make sure to get some exercise

6. maybe try the Rad-Kids site once you get the email
