Hello Room 16 Students and Families!

 

I hope you all have received the invite for our next ZOOM get together.  It is scheduled for this Wednesday, April 8 at 10:00am.  Your email should include the meeting ID and Password.  I hope you can join us!  If you like to plan ahead, we will also be having a second ZOOM meeting this week on Friday, April 10 at 10:00.  I will send the invite as we get closer to the date.  Going forward, I would like to hold two ZOOM get togethers a week on these days and times.

 

There are two videos posts today, and in a change in format, they are located under this post.  There is no story today, as I wanted to post an extra lesson.  This lesson is called, "What Picture is Next" and is interactive with the students.  Before you begin, students will need a paper and pencil/pen to complete the activity.  Students should be familiar with this lesson, as we use to complete it in class.  Have fun with it!  The second post, is the next part in the series of lessons on how to complete Writers Workshop.  I am hoping you can continue the writing you started yesterday.

 

I wanted to call your attention to the link I talked about last week called, "Scholastic Learn at Home".  Mrs. Penaranda found this link, and I am reposting it above this post.  Once you click on it, you will notice that under the header picture that there are different weeks you can click on.  I would pick a week, and start looking at the stories that might interest you.  They have little books where students can practice their reading skills.  I also wanted to mention Mrs. Penaranda's post yesterday where she had an excellent idea on writing a poem about the rain, please feel free to check it out.
